Apple has just invited members of the press to attend a product launch on October 23rd, where it seems likely that the long-rumored iPad mini will be unveiled.
So what can we expect? A 7.85 inch iPad with an all-new design to the third-generation iPad seems a certainty based on supply chain leaks although there is still some uncertainty about whether it will have an aluminium back like the existing iPads or a two-tone design like the iPhone 5.
Apple also seem set to unveil a new thinner iMac and a bring the retina display to the 13-inch MacBook Pro.
Earlier today MacRumors were shown photos of the battery that may be in the iPad Mini. The battery showed a power rating of 16.7 Watt-Hours compared to the iPhone 5 at 5.45 Watt-Hours and the iPad 2 at 25 Watt-Hours. That rating seems consistent with the expected internals of the iPad Mini which are bases on the iPad 2 and not the more powerful third-generation iPad which packs a 42.5 Watt-Hour battery.
Whatever Apple have up their sleeve we will cover It all her next Tuesday.
