According to reports today Intel have a big coup due to be announced at CES in the form of dual OS devices capable of running Windows 8 and Android.

Intel wouldn’t be the first company to think of such a device as Samsung originally announced the dual OS Ativ Q in June but due to license issues that stunning device still hasn’t hit the shelves yet. Asus also have a dual OS device in the works according to a FCC filing and a YouTube tease for CES.

Intel are planning on running Android in a virtualised environment with the capability to switch between either OS without having to boot between them.

The ability to run Android on a Windows PC already exists through Bluestacks but performance issues are a serious concern and something which Intel are sure to relegate to the past at CES.
